The Suwassett Garden Club

Cafe - Offering Sandwiches, Coffee and Cold Drinks.

The Museum Shop has donated and consigned antiques
for sale in the 1840's Craft House
located to the right of the main house.
Come find that "special" gift or treasure.
The shop is open the same hours as the museum.

The Spinney Antique Clock Museum, owned and operated by The Historical Society of Greater Port Jefferson, is a unique cross section of 200 American & European Antique Shelf Clocks, Wall Clocks and Grandfather Clocks.

John Burns, clock collector and researcher
from the Spinney Antique Clock Museum, the Repair Clock Museum,
The Repair School and The Clock Guild.
John will present "Antique Clock Collecting Part One"
giving you tips on how to research a clock for purchase
and what you should know when buying an antique clock.
If you presently own and antique clock, John will discuss what you need to know to maintain it in good working order and appearance.

with the newly refurbished interior.
This Year's Exhibit:
"Celebrations, Festivals & Events in Port Jefferson"
This years exhibit will be featuring celebrations, festivals and events that have occurred in Port Jefferson over the years.
How will you be celebrating Memorial Day this year?
Do you think it can compare to The Fun Fest reported in the 1929 Crystal?

4th of July Parade
The Historical Society will have a float in the
Annual 4th of July Parade which travels down Main Street
starting at 10:00 AM

A Handout will be provided.

2 PM - 4 PM - Antique Clock Appraisal
Verbal, one clock per person, $2. Donation with entry fee
Limited to first 50 people

Entrance Fee $15.
includes Door Prizes, Raffles, Tours & Refreshments
Refreshments - Noon - 3 PM (Sandwiches, Pastries, Wine)

This will be a major fundraiser
for the operation of our Spinney Clock Collection and our Clock Repair School.
It will also be a unique and informative activity to attend.
We hope you will join us on this day.
We are also in need of volunteer help both in preparation activities
and on the day of the Fair.

or could donate a bottle of wine or homemade cookies or cake,

Display Offerings:
The bottom shelf focuses on the Spinney Clock Collection,
the clock school offerings and samples of our publications
which can be purchased at the Museum shop.

The middle shelf highlights this year's exhibit in particular
Old Home Week photos.

The top shelf displays some of the unique offerings in the
Mather Consignment Shop. 
Prices are on the items and can be purchased by calling
Eileen 928-3432 or Beth 278-3292. 

Included in the display are a Made-in-USA Marx wind-up jumping dog,
a red metal child's shovel from Oettinger's store,
a locally handmade Raggedy Ann Doll with reversible clothing
and other interesting items.

Below the display there is free literature about the Historical Society.

under a tent on the museum lawn (rain or shine).
You'll find many unique items to choose from.
